The
Adventure Tour is approximately 1.5 hours and takes you deep into
the 1500 sq. mile Juneau Icefield. Within moments of your departure, you
will be flying over the breathtaking azure blue ice spires and deep crevasses
that abound in the Juneau Icefield. This tour is narrated either by our
custom CD or by your pilot/guide. The helicopter will make one landing
on a glacier where you will be able to step out onto the awesome and spectacular
surroundings. Be sure to bring your camera, as you can be sure that every
picture will be a memory in the making. Your pilot will act as your guide
while describing your surroundings. Truly your "Pathway to Adventure"
and a trip not to be missed.
TRANSPORTATION: Coastal Helicopters will provide transportation
to and from the downtown cruise ship docking area at no additional cost.
Please add an additional 45 minutes in each direction.
Tour price:
$360.00* per seat/3 seat minimum (includes
tax and transport to and from the ship) Persons weighing 250 pounds or
more must purchase an additional ½ seat for safety reasons.

RESERVATIONS:
Call 1-800-789-5610 to make your reservations. Advance reservations
are recommended and must be confirmed with a credit card. Coastal Helicopters
accepts most major credit cards. Please take a moment to review our cancellation
and weight restriction policies.
WHAT TO
WEAR: Dress warmly and in layers. Wear rubber soled shoes such as
a light hiking boot or athletic shoes. If needed, we
can provide boots and raincoats. REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR CAMERA, FILM
and BINOCULARS!
*Weight
Restrictions: Passenger names and weights
are required by the FAA for weight and balance calculations and flight
manifesting. To ensure your safety and comfort, passengers weighing 250
pounds or more will be reserved extra space on-board the helicopter and
will be required to pay an additional $180.
Cancellation
Policy: Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to a scheduled
tour will be refunded in full. Cancellations made 24-48 hours prior to a
scheduled tour will be charged 25%. Same day cancellations will not be
refunded. If Coastal Helicopters cancels a flight due to weather, cruise
ship, or flight delay, and we are unable to reschedule, the passenger
will be refunded. Decisions to fly are at the discretion of Coastal Helicopters,
Inc.
Safety:
Customer safety is our primary concern at Coastal Helicopters, Inc. Whether
you are joining us for your first helicopter experience or a seasoned
veteran heading back to work in a remote region Coastal Helicopters calls
home, our staff is here to make sure you are comfortable from take off
to landing. Throughout the year we subject our aircraft, pilots, maintenance
and support staff not only to training and inspections required by the
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), but also to independent and internal
audits, inspections by the Office of Aircraft Services (OAS)/U.S. Forest
Service and are very committed to the Alaska Air Carriers Association's
Medallion Program (providing a level of safety for all passengers above
and beyond that required by the FAA.
Landings
on glaciers inside the Tongass National Forest are under permits issued
by the
USDA Forest Service.
